Welcome!

Much of my work is done on location, including seascapes of the rustic Maine coast and the legendary and breathtaking Monhegan Island, as well as pastoral landscapes of New England. I also enjoy painting still lifes, which lend themselves to exciting uses of color, composition and abstraction.

Painting changes how you see the world, particularly how light, color and atmosphere are observed.

There is a delicate balance between a representational approach and conveying something in a painterly and expressive manner. It's about leaving something unsaid that each viewer may interpret individually.
